Mike Blumenthal - SaaS Lead Flow
The story told by Mike Blumenthal
I got started in SaaS working as head of growth in a bootstrapped company where the CEO asked me to build a sales system from scratch. I only had class two days per week that semester so I would sit in my college house and experiment with sales techniques. It was around that time that I caught the entrepreneurship bug.
Besides entrepreneurship being in my family line, my drive to build companies also stemmed from my first jobs while in college, which included working for a small tech start-up. It was here where I cut my teeth in growth marketing techniques, digital marketing and how to build a tool that has recurring revenue use cases.
Starting out
I started my business in 2019, but it’s current format with the productized service kicked off in 2023.

SaaS Lead Flow is a service-based business that re-shapes the way B2B SaaS businesses approach lead generation. We provide a done-for-you service that includes the build-out of an outbound engine to support B2B SaaS growth for years to come.
I realized the inefficiency, expense and impersonalization of marketing strategies so I started doing some experimenting myself with a few list leads for both email and LinkedIn. Shortly after I was able to bring in founders over 30 demos per month.
From DIY sales to DFY
My service helps busy founders go from DIY sales to DFY (Done For You) scaling the number of prospects and appointments taken by the team each week.
This is a breakdown of how we execute on the 3 step process.

Marketing my business
It is really hard to build trust in services. Many people “claim” they can achieve results, but your social proof is paramount. It takes time and consistency.
The actual build-out of a service-based business from scratch is super time consuming. After experimenting with coaching, consulting, and joining as a partner I decided going with the productized service model works for me because it has the most repeatability for helping founders over and over.
I got started and launched my business with a bootstrapped philosophy. I have always self-funded businesses.
Marketing SaaS Lead Flow started as a journey to build my personal brand. I started posting on X in February 2023. To-date, I still book around 3-5 sales calls per month just from my content and personal brand.
The other part of my marketing approach has been outbound lead generation. I constantly network with people on LinkedIn and send cold email campaigns to my target market.
This has been a great source of growth in Q2-Q3 2024.
Where is SaaS Lead Flow today?
I am quite selective on who I work with and right now I have about 6 clients.
I am honored to say that I have worked with more than three dozen SaaS companies to date. We consistently work with founders for 3-6 months to get them moving forward and then often times they hire for the role internally because we’ve built a strong foundation.
